2022 Seats up for Election
- REMINDER: ALL Candidates for State Legislature file their paperwork with the Secretary of State's Office, not the County. Please visit sos.idaho.gov for more information.
Change of Party Affiliation & Registration Deadlines
- March 11, 2022 - Change of Party Affiliation Deadline - Idaho Code 34-411A - After this deadline, any voter already affiliated with any party may not change their affiliation or become "Unaffiliated" until after the May 17 Primary Election. "Unaffiliated" voters may still affiliate with a party.
- April 22, 2022 - Voter Registration Deadline

Absentee Voting
- Friday, May 6 at 5:00 PM was the deadline to request an absentee ballot. Absentee ballots must be returned to the Kootenai County Elections Department by 8 p.m. on Election Day, May 17th.
Early Voting
- Early Voting closed on May 13th at 5 p.m.
