Kootenai County Portion of Property Tax

Kootenai County collects the taxes for all 45+ taxing districts and Urban Renewal Districts, however, the County only receives the taxes related to it’s own functions. Kootenai County has no control over the levy rates for the other taxing districts (with the exception of EMS in which Kootenai County shares responsibility with local cities).
