Recently, the Board of County Commissioners passed Resolution 2021-124, offering free Boat Launch Passes for 100% Disabled Veterans for use at Kootenai County Managed Boat Launches.
The offer is for Kootenai County Residents who are Veterans with a 100% service-connected disability and their non-remarried widows/widowers, or Gold Star Families. Eligibility will be established by presenting a letter from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and proof of residency in Kootenai County to the Parks and Waterways Department.
Free Kootenai County Boat Launch Pass for 100% Disabled Veterans
- Kootenai County Residents Only
- 100% Disabled Veterans
- Non-remarried Widows/Widowers
- Gold Star Families
Applicants must provide:
- VA Benefit Summary Letter -100% service-connected disability
- Proof of residency-one of the following:
- Valid driver’s license
- Current Kootenai County property tax statement
- Current utility bill
- Current vehicle registration
A physical Kootenai County address is required on all forms of residency verification.
Proof of residency required each year.
