Message from the Prosecuting Attorney
For too long, crime victims in Kootenai County were a forgotten part of the criminal justice system. Witnesses of personal or violent crimes fared little better. Our Prosecuting Attorney's Victim/Witness Services Unit seeks to provide a more sensitive and efficient means of providing help to victims of targeted personal crimes, and to those who are asked by society to serve as witnesses in the prosecution of such crimes.
On the left side of this page you will find links to a summary of what services the Victim Services Unit provides, tips for preparing to be a witness in court and applicable forms. We hope that you will find this information useful.
