August 31, 2023 – The Justice Center Project will begin Phase 1 of 3 on September 11, 2023. Phase 1 will include earthwork, utilities, and construction support. Phase 2 is tentatively scheduled to begin in November on a date to be determined. During the entire process, all County services will remain open and normal hours of operation will not change. However, we ask that the public be aware of the possibility of delays caused by construction work around the building.

No sooner than September 18 and no later than September 25, 2023, West Garden Avenue will be closed (as pictured) between the intersection with Northwest Boulevard and the eastern-most crosswalk leading to the north parking lot to accommodate utilities construction for the expansion. A ramp and scaffold will be installed to maintain disability (ADA) access to the lower level of the Justice Building for the duration of construction.

After utilities construction is complete and earthworks construction begins, Garden Avenue will be reduced to a partial closure. The road will remain fenced to the center line, but two‐way traffic will be maintained on the north side by turning the north parking lane into a traffic lane as pictured. The partial closure, anticipated to start October 20, 2023, shall be maintained indefinitely while construction is ongoing.
