The purpose or mission of the Snowgroomer department is to provide motorized users of Kootenai County, managed snowmobile trail systems with safe and well-maintained trails. Snowgroomer Operations serve thousands of motorized outdoor snow enthusiast each winter season. The department is responsible for grooming approximately 300-miles of trails. Our mission is to provide the best-groomed trails in the State of Idaho, in the most cost effective way possible. We will accomplish this by continually improving operational efficiency through training, implementation of new technologies, defined travel routes, and partnerships with private and public entities.

Boat, Snowmobile, OHV or Motorbike registrations must be done through Idaho Parks and Recreation Department. Register online through the Parks and Rec Website , or call 1-888-922-6743 or 1-800-247-6332.

The local Parks and Recreation Office is located at 2885 W Kathleen Ave, Coeur d'Alene and can be reached by calling 208-769-1511. Registrations may also be done at any State Park (Farragut, Heyburn, Priest Lake, Round Lake, Dworshak, or Hell's Gate).
