Bruce won the Republican Primary vote for County Commissioner in May, 2022 . He did not face an opposing candidate in the November, 2022 general election and, therefore, was elected to a four-year term of office. He was sworn into office on January 9, 2023, and is honored to serve the citizens of Kootenai County.
Bruce has an immense appreciation for what the 2nd Amendment means to our people and how important it is that we preserve it for future generations, which is why he is a steadfast supporter of organizations dedicated to preserving this Right. Bruce is also a Veteran and served in the 29th Infantry Division of the Maryland Army National Guard and was Honorably Discharged in 1993.
In 2013, Bruce and his family moved to Coeur d’Alene from Northern Virginia.
